Dr. Kenneth R. Vincent (August 20, 1943 – June 11, 2024) was a distinguished professor of psychology whose work bridged academic research and spiritual inquiry. After earning his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology in 1973, he worked in public service and academia, teaching at the University of Houston and Houston Community College until his retirement in 2001.
Post-retirement, Dr. Vincent became a respected author and researcher, publishing widely on near-death experiences, religious mysticism, and Universalist theology. His notable books include Visions of God from the Near-Death Experience, The Magi: From Zoroaster to the Three Wise Men, The Golden Thread: God’s Promise of Universal Salvation, and God Is With Us: What Near-Death and Other Spiritually Transformative Experiences Teach Us About God and Afterlife. Many of his works appeared in journals like Journal of Near-Death Studies and De Numine.
He passed away in June 2024, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire students and scholars at the intersection of psychology and religion.
