Robert Charman is a member of the Society for Psychical Research and the Scientific & Medical Network. He has published over 40 papers, many peer reviewed, on ESP, Psychokinesis (PK), healing research, and mind/brain relationships. He was Chair of the Confederation of Healing Organisations from 2006-2012. He is the author of Telepathy, Clairvoyance and Precognition: A Re-Evaluation of some Fascinating Case Studies (2022), The Psi Mind in Action: Exploring the Powers of the Human Mind beyond the Brain (2023), and edited Complementary Therapies for Physical Therapists (2000). A retired physiotherapy lecturer from the former Welsh College of Medicine, University of Wales, and a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, he has published textbook chapters on Physiotherapy for the Relief of Pain;Pain and Nociception – Mechanisms and Modulation in Sensory Context;Electrical Properties of Cells and Tissues, and the Neurology of Skill Learning. Although he has never had an ESP or PK experience himself, he believes both are real phenomena beyond reasonable doubt.
