Another remarkable Near Death Experience Reported By Eminent Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Lloyd Rudy.

Defibrillation; the process in which an electronic device sends an electric shock to the heart to stop a rapid or irregular heartbeat, in order to restore a normal heart beat, has been known about since 1899 when it was first demonstrated by Jean-Louis Prévos and Frederic Batelli, two physiologists from University of Geneva, Switzerland. However it is only since the 1960’s when portable defibrilation devices were invented, that many more people suffering heart attacks have been bought back to life from conditions that would have otherwise proved fatal.

Often patients coming out of these near death scenarios report seeing and hearing events in the operating room such as doctors talking, and other people in the room, that due to their physical condition, they should not be able to see or hear. They sometimes speak of meeting deceased friends and relatives, traveling through tunnels of light, and even meeting deceased people they thought were alive who subsequently turned out to have passed away.

In many cases the lives of the experiencers are changed in a positive way by their near death experience. (NDE)

One of first authors to collate these experiences was Raymond Moody, M.D. in his book Life After Life which was published in 1975, in which he collated over a hundred cases of notable NDE’S. The book was a best seller in the USA selling millions of copies, and it and made the term, Near Death Experience, a household name.

These days portable defibrillation units are a standard fixture in many ambulances and consequently thousands of lives are saved and many heart attack victims year-on-year report having near death experiences.

Recently an eminent cardiac surgeon in the USA called Dr. Lloyd Rudy reported on such case that occurred on his watch. It’s always good when people like Dr Rudy share their experiences as it give us (the general public) a first hand account by a credible witness.

If you have 12 minutes to spare, listen to what Dr. Rudy has to say.

“Life After Death – The Communicator” by Paul Beard – If the telephone rings, naturally the caller is expected to identify himself. In post-mortem communication, necessitating something far more complex than a telephone, it is not enough to seek the speakers identity. One needs to estimate also as far as is possible his present status and stature. This involves a number of factors, overlapping and hard to keep separate, each bringing its own kind of difficulty. Four such factors can readily be named. Read here
